Wael Taji Miller (Wael Taji in publications) is a neuroscientist, doctoral candidate, and a Coptic Orthodox Christian writer. He holds an B.A. (Hons) from Cambridge University, where he studied cultural psychology and oriental languages, and a Master’s degree in Behavioral Economics from Peking University, which he attended as a Yenching Scholar while minoring in Fundamental Neuroscience. Wael is currently completing his doctorate in Cognitive Neuroscience at the medical faculty of Semmelweis University in Hungary.
At the Axioma Center, Taji’s research focuses on the intersection of innovation, our evolved psychology, and contemporary societal challenges, particularly in the domains of moral education, technological harms, and psychoactive substance abuse. Taji’s works have been published in Q1 peer-reviewed journals such as Human Brain Mapping and Intelligence, and his research and social commentary has appeared in Quillette, the Hungarian Conservative, and Palladium Magazine, among others.
